The Misanthrope Project: Your world is sickening

I loath humanity – fuck you all – and will do so until the very day I die. At times I also hate the universe, just like Craft, but before long I always remember them splendid animals surrounding us scumfucks. Not to forget about the plants, insects and bacteria.
Hail A.I.D.S.!* And machine-guns, too.
The Misanthrope Project, worms and germs, is best suited for those among you who appreciate sludge ridden doom. Or doom ridden sludge. Either which way, and most importantly, if the genres I just mentioned tickled your appetite, do count yourself in for a meal. Yes indeed. “Your world is sickening” is – although not in terms of song-titles – namely a splendid recording through and through. It sounds nigh on impeccable, hails to the producer(s), and the effort turned in by the quintet doing the instruments isn’t trailing behind. Not by an inch.
A bunch of very competent musicians coupled with a more than fine mixing job needn’t cut the mustard, I obviously know, so it’s no fucking wonder I also know that songwriting is utterly required if serious magic is to happen. Fuck magic and fairytales, what you need to know is that here you’ll find – even though we are talking an EP only – a downright impressive collection of riffs knitting groove and grit together. Not to forget about the quite sick and entirely inspired vocals, the imaginative but never wanky drumming, or the fine display of bassing courtesy of someone.
“Your world is sickening” is gritty, mean and quite obscene, yet at the same time utterly refined and occasionally even calm. Two thumbs, and a massive erection, up.
I very well know that A.I.D.S. is a continuation of the HIV virus. In other words, hail malignant viruses but fuck you.
